The Ministry of Elementary and Mass Education has decided to take classes on television and radio for students in grades 3 through 8 during public holidays due to the deadly coronavirus.
Akram Al Hossain, secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, confirmed the matter on Monday. At the same time, all mothers will be given the necessary guidance through short message.
The Directorate of Primary Education, Ministry of Primary and Mass Education will conduct these activities with the technical support of the ‘A to I’ project of the Prime Minister’s Office.
The secretary said, we have already had a meeting with ATU on the matter. We have this initiative so that the students do not back down because the institution is closed due to the corona virus.
He said that bringing students under pre-primary to second grade will not be fruitful. So we have taken initiative to bring students from 3rd to 5th grade under this program. It is being processed. We had a talk with Atui. We have given them some suggestions. Based on our suggestions, they will create an outline. The final decision will be taken at the next meeting.
Many people do not have television at home, so this lesson will be broadcast on radio.
